Tonsley Technical College will be a visionary institution that aims to revolutionise technical education in South Australia. The State Government is investing in Technical Colleges that will set the standard for excellence in their design, learning environment and delivery of skills-based training for school-enrolled students.

Tonsley Technical College, run in conjunction with the Australian Science and Mathematics School will be opening in 2026. Tonsley Technical College will be located in the Tonsley Innovation Precinct and built in tandem with Flinders University's Factory of the Future, an industry focused research and capability-building facility.

Tonsley Technical College will offer three industry training programs focussing on industries in high demand such as Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering, Automotive and Energy, and Building and Construction. The college will partner with high-profile employers, training providers and higher educational partners.

What you will do:

Set up systems and routines to ensure all machinery, infrastructure, equipment, materials, consumables and grounds are maintained at all times.

Checks on plant and machinery as required for a variety of compliance frameworks including and not limited to ASQA and DfE.

Ensure all equipment and machinery are operated within safety guidelines and kept in good working order and accurate records kept.

What you will need:

Demonstrated experience in facility repairs and maintenance and the upkeep of the college and grounds.

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively with staff, students, parents and the wider community

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member and at times under pressure, problem solve, demonstrate initiative and devise practical solutions.
