About the Role
Ready to make a real difference in the lives of others?
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and proactive Manager, Maintenance and Grounds to join our team. This role is more than just facilities management — it’s about creating safe, beautiful, and functional spaces where our residents can truly thrive.
While a background in facilities management is ideal, we believe true leadership stems from a blend of skills, experience, and genuine passion. If you're a strategic problem-solver with a talent for leading teams and a strong commitment to safety and quality, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead with Impact: Provide day-to-day leadership and support to our maintenance and grounds teams, empowering them to deliver high-quality, responsive service.
- Plan for Success: Coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance to extend asset life and ensure full compliance with legislative requirements.
- Elevate Our Sites: Oversee grounds presentation and manage external contractors to enhance the appearance and safety of our properties.
- Drive Improvement: Champion continuous improvement by optimising systems, enhancing reporting, and embedding a strong safety culture.
- Collaborate and Connect: Build strong working relationships with site managers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and problem-solving.
Join a purpose-driven organisation that values a supportive and inclusive culture. Here, you'll not only make a tangible impact on our residents' lives but also find ample opportunities for professional growth and career advancement. If you're ready for your next leadership role, this could be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Bring
- A trade qualification or equivalent experience in a maintenance or facilities role, with proven leadership skills.
- A strong understanding of WHS and compliance standards.
- Experience in leading multi-site teams, ideally in aged care, health, or a similar environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse trade and groundskeeping teams across multiple sites.
- The ability to plan and manage preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Skills in managing budgets, procurement, and reporting.
Most importantly, you're a proactive leader who is passionate about creating environments that positively influence the lives of others. Your experience may not tick every box, but your drive, transferable skills, and commitment to our mission will be what set you apart.
Special Requirements
- This is a NDIS risk-assessed role – a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is required.
- A current Australian driver’s licence and a willingness to travel between sites across South Australia and Victoria, as required.
The successful candidate will have access to a fleet vehicle for work related travel.
