Tonsley Technical College will be a visionary institution that aims to revolutionise technical education in South Australia. The State Government is investing in Technical Colleges that will set the standard for excellence in their design, learning environment and delivery of skills-based training for school-enrolled students.

Tonsley Technical College, run in conjunction with the Australian Science and Mathematics School will be opening in 2026 and will be located in the Tonsley Innovation Precinct. Tonsley Technical College will offer three industry training programs focusing on industries in high demand such as Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering, Automotive and Energy, and Building and Construction. The college will partner with high-profile employers, training providers and higher education partners.

What Will You Do:

Support wellbeing and safety of students in the technical college

Develop and implement student support plans in collaboration with enrolled students.

Work as part of Industry Specialisation Teams with a focus on wellbeing, coaching and support services

Collaborate with schools, staff, families, and external providers to support students' success

What you will need:

Demonstrated ability to use a range of effective communication skills when working with young people, their teachers, parents/carers and external stakeholders to improve their participation, engagement and achievement in their industry pathway

Demonstrated experience in achieving educational outcomes for young people through effective wellbeing strategies

Demonstrated experience in providing a quality student support service for young people who experience mental health, learning, wellbeing or social barriers to their education to improve their participation, engagement and achievement in schooling
