About the Role
As Principal Project Officer - Portfolio Management, you'll lead governance initiatives, coordinate reporting and budget submissions, and collaborate with NSW CAPO and sector committees to deliver meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
You will join our Reform and Innovation team within the Aboriginal Affairs group. Reform and Innovation works in genuine partnership with Aboriginal peoples and communities to shape policies and reforms that reflect their needs and aspirations. The branch plays a key role in delivering the NSW Government's commitments under Closing the Gap and advancing Aboriginal land and cultural heritage reform.

We're Looking For
- Management of planning, delivery, governance, and evaluation of complex projects.
- Experience drafting high-quality briefs, reports, and Cabinet submissions on sensitive issues.
- Capability to represent Aboriginal Affairs in forums and build strong relationships across sectors.
- Expertise to advise senior leaders on emerging issues and support high-level decision-making.
- Ability to track outcomes, manage risks, and measure impact.
