Editor – Industry B2B magazine and online

Maternity leave position (7-12 months)

With over 45 years of experience, Westwick-Farrow Media is an established leader in B2B media across industrial, technology, food manufacturing and healthcare platforms.

The company is currently looking for an experienced editor to take the lead as the temporary ambassador for either or both of its well-established Critical Comms and Lab+Life Scientist brands.

Reporting directly to the managing editor, the editor will work both autonomously and collaboratively with a wide range of contacts including other teams within the company and external contacts and industry partners.

Main duties will include:

Writing, commissioning and editing high-quality articles for both the print/digital issues and online, ensuring all content is accurate and adheres to the house style guide.

Sourcing and editing relevant/timely news content for the weekly e-newsletter.

Ensuring high-quality publication of all content, both online and print, according to deadlines and quality standards.

Representing the brand at industry events and other functions, as required.

Potentially suitable for a freelancer looking for a temporary long-term assignment, the role requires someone with strong communications skills and at least five years of experience as an editor, preferably in the industry B2B publications space.

Strong writing and editing skills are a must and a knowledge of the radio communications and/or lab and life science industries across Australia is considered highly important for the role.

Expected starting date is in December 2025 but there will be a three-week shutdown over the festive season.
