About the role

Canberra Flooring Experts Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Sales Consultant and Quotation Person to join our team in Mitchell, ACT. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, generating sales leads, and preparing detailed quotations for our range of high-quality flooring products and installation services.

What you'll be doing

Engaging with customers, both in-person and over the phone, to understand their flooring requirements and provide expert advice and recommendations

Conducting site visits to measure and assess customer's spaces to provide accurate quotations

Preparing detailed, competitive quotations for flooring products and installation services

Closing sales by converting customer enquiries into confirmed orders

Maintaining detailed records of customer interactions and sales data

Collaborating with the installation team to ensure a seamless customer experience

Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within the local community

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, ideally within the home improvement or construction industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers

Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills to prepare accurate quotations

Problem-solving and negotiation skills to handle customer queries and objections

Working knowledge of flooring products, installation methods, and industry standards

A driven, self-motivated, and target-oriented approach to sales

A valid driver's licence and ability to travel to customer sites
