Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced CPAP Clinic Consultant / Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-level support and service for CPAP users: from diagnosis, mask fitting and CPAP trials, through to troubleshooting, ongoing follow‑up, and patient education. You’ll also be using sleep study equipment & software, liaising with customers, and contributing to our standard of care. This role is ideal for someone who is technically proficient, empathetic with patients, and enjoys variety.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct home‑based sleep studies (and in‑clinic / in‑lab where applicable) using relevant diagnostic tools/software
· Fit masks, set up CPAP / AutoCPAP / BiPAP / ASV devices; perform trials & rentals
· Educate patients about device usage, mask fitting, maintenance, hygiene
· Interpret machine / cloud / card data; troubleshoot issues with devices, masks, accessories
· Monitor and maintain equipment, ensure infection control, quality assurance
· Manage stock: ordering supplies, managing accessories & mask parts
· Perform follow‑ups to assess therapy efficacy, patient compliance & satisfaction
· Administrative duties: record keeping, liaise with medical practitioners/sleep specialists, EMR / software data entry
Selection Criteria / Requirements
Essential:
· Proven experience in CPAP / respiratory therapy / sleep medicine roles (mask fitting, CPAP trials etc.)
· Familiarity with CPAP / BiPAP / AutoCPAP devices and diagnostics
· Strong communication & customer service skills; ability to explain technical info in understandable terms
· Good IT literacy; ability to use diagnostic software and troubleshoot device/software issues
· Self‑motivated, reliable, able to work independently & part of a team
Desirable:
· Experience with advanced therapies (e.g. ASV, bi‑level ventilation)
· Experience in conducting / interpreting sleep studies (home or lab)
· First Aid / CPR certification
· Experience in sales or recommending accessories / masks, with balance of patient care over sales pressure
