Join a progressive Australian manufacturer supplying high-volume packaging to some of the nation’s leading dairy producers. The business has doubled in size in recent years and continues to invest in people, technology and process improvement.

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll lead a team of three Production Team Leaders and around 45 operators across 24/7 operations. Your focus will be to drive structured performance improvement through clear standards, accountability and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activities, ensuring safety, quality, DIFOT and efficiency targets are met.
• Develop and implement standard settings, daily reviews and Lean manufacturing practices.
• Coach and develop Team Leaders to build capability, ownership and consistency across shifts.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality and Planning to strengthen process reliability and communication.
• Deliver measurable improvements in productivity, waste reduction and cost efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven success managing production in a fast-paced, continuous manufacturing environment — ideally food, plastics or packaging.
• A disciplined approach to systems, KPIs and continuous improvement (Lean, 5S or CI exposure).
• Mechanical and process aptitude – confident analysing performance and leading problem-solving.
• A collaborative but firm leadership style – able to challenge the status quo while bringing people with you.
• Strong communication and planning skills, balancing the strategic with the hands-on.
