Your new role
- Manage and process applications under the GIPA and PPIP Acts, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and organisational standards.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to coordinate and respond to information access requests, maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Oversee general compliance activities, including monitoring privacy obligations and maintaining accurate records in line with statutory frameworks.
- Maintain and update internal records and systems with precision, ensuring data integrity and adherence to privacy protocols.
- Provide high-level administrative support across governance functions, including ad-hoc tasks related to council matters and public enquiries.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of governance processes, promoting transparency and ethical conduct across the organisation.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organisational skills in managing sensitive information and supporting decision-making processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in a similar role, particularly in managing GIPA or Government Information requests.
- Ideally you will have worked for a Local Council previously.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
