Your Role:

As an Accounts Officer, you will manage the financial operations of our organisation, ensure legal compliance, and oversee asset registrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.

Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and transactions.

Process payroll, supplier payments, and client invoices, with a strong understanding of hospitality norms.

Prepare financial statements, budgets, and periodic reports.

Legal Compliance:

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, food safety licensing, motor vehicle registrations, and insurance renewals.

Oversee insurance policies for company assets, vehicles, and events.

Industry-Specific Oversight:

Monitor cost controls and profitability for catering and event services.

Track inventory, purchases, and supplier relationships to ensure operational efficiency.

Provide financial insights for event planning, menu costing, and supplier negotiations.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certifications preferred).

Experience:

Proven track record in accounting or finance, ideally in the hospitality or catering industry.

Familiarity with compliance requirements such as food safety, liquor licensing, and event permits.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero accounting software, Deputy employee rostering software, and advanced spreadsheet skills.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship management skills for interacting with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
