Summary

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Project Analyst provides sourcing strategy and delivery to support several upcoming projects as part of Lancer’s business transformation agenda. Generally, this includes the preparation and management of quotes, tenders, RFP’s securing goods and services, strategic sourcing and providing analysis and actionable insights from company data, all aimed at delivering the best overall commercial value for Lancer.

Please note this is a 6 month fixed term contract.

Key Performance Indicators:

· Delivery of upcoming projects as part of Lancer’s business transformation agenda, including but not limited to Project Frothy, Flash, Crystal and Penguin

· Ensure Price and quality issues are resolved in a timely manner

· Deliver savings value for lancer

· Identify and Implement efficiency improvements

· Support other supply chain functions as required.

Essential Functions (not limited to):

· The preparation and management of quotes, tenders, RFP’s securing goods and services exactly as specified and that deliver the best overall commercial value.

· Strategic sourcing; negotiation of pricing and other commercial arrangements with suppliers.

· Provide analysis and actionable insights from company data to support the procurement team to ensure optimal inventory availability and control.

· Assist with implementing a consistent approach for procurement while ensuring an ongoing development of standards, KPI’s, purchasing policies and guidelines.

· Evaluate suppliers.

· Establish logistics’ arrangements with suppliers

· Actively drive cost reductions and increase value for money for Lancer while championing opportunities for improvement.

· Prepare reports and provide analysis and insights into presented data.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· IT skills understanding of ERP and reporting systems and functions

· Supply Chain/ Purchasing understanding, excellent time management skills and able to meet deadlines, analytical and problem solving, risk management

· Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to collaborate, influence and motivate others

· Good time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks

Education and Experience

· A minimum of 5 years of supply chain experience

· Tertiary education that is related to manufacturing or supply chain
