We are currently seeking applications for an Analyst to join the Revenue & Economics Branch at The Department of Treasury & Finance.
Remuneration: ASO5 - Salary Range ($85,790 - $95,413 p.a.).
About the opportunity:
The Analyst works as part of a small team to provide high level, comprehensive advice on revenue and intergovernmental relations matters.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
preparing and monitoring forward estimates of taxation revenue, Commonwealth grants and other revenue.
managing data collections to assist in quantitative analysis and research, including state comparative data on revenue.
undertaking analysis and contributing to the development of advice on issues relating to Commonwealth payments to the state, including through the process of horizontal fiscal equalisation.
About you
To be successful you will have:
a tertiary qualification in economics, finance, commerce, or another relevant field.
Experience in undertaking financial/economic analysis.
Experience in the development of financial and policy advice to internal and external stakeholders.

The Revenue and Economics Branch is responsible for providing advice on state revenue matters, including state taxes and Commonwealth-State financial relations as well as providing accurate and timely advice on economic conditions and economic forecasts. The Branch contributes to the Government's economic policy and provides advice on economic strategy with the aim of maximising economic opportunities for South Australia.
