An established and growing construction business is seeking a Design Manager to lead and coordinate design delivery across a diverse range of industrial, commercial, and refurbishment projects. This role is ideal for a design professional with a strong technical foundation and a collaborative approach who enjoys working closely with clients, consultants, and project teams to bring high-quality, buildable outcomes to life.

The Role

You will manage the design process from concept through to construction. You will coordinate inputs from consultants, ensure documentation aligns with program milestones, and provide design leadership that supports both quality and efficiency across all stages of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the end-to-end design process across multiple projects

Coordinate and review architectural, structural, civil, and services designs

Ensure compliance with NCC/BCA, Australian Standards, and project objectives

Conduct buildability reviews and identify design-related risks early

Facilitate workshops, design reviews, and client sign-offs

Support estimating, procurement, and construction teams with design clarity

About You

Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a similar discipline

Minimum 5 years’ experience in design management or coordination within the construction industry

Experience across industrial and commercial sectors

Strong understanding of construction methodology and consultant management

Proven ability to balance design intent with practical, cost-effective solutions
