Proper Goods is a distributor of the world’s finest independent and luxury eyewear brands across Australia and New Zealand. We partner with premium optical retailers and deliver service that reflects the calibre of the brands we represent: Mykita, Moscot, Garrett Leight, Balmain, Akoni and more.

We’re growing our Australian sales team and looking for a Wholesale Account Manager to join us in a national role. You’ll take ownership of a defined brand portfolio and be responsible for managing and growing a high-value territory, balancing account management, business development, and market execution.

This is a full-time, on-field role with travel across Australia, we will happily accept candidates from either of Sydney or Melbourne .

About the Role

The structure of this position will flex depending on the successful candidate. Whether you’re stepping into a mid-level territory role or bringing senior account and brand experience, we’re looking for someone who understands the responsibility of representing premium brands, and delivers with energy, care, and commercial awareness.

You’ll work closely with independent optical retailers, presenting seasonal collections, supporting growth initiatives, and ensuring each brand is well-positioned in-store and in-market.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Visiting stores regularly to maintain high levels of service and visibility

Managing existing wholesale accounts and identifying new opportunities

Presenting new collections and planning product launches

Supporting product training, assortment planning, and merchandising

Monitoring stock flow and working with planning to ensure supply meets demand

Executing sales initiatives in line with our market and brand strategy

Managing brand material, POS, and promotional allocations

Meeting sales targets and contributing to overall territory growth

Keeping CRM and reporting up to date with visit plans and outcomes

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 2 years’ experience in wholesale, B2B sales, or premium optical retail

A self-starter mindset; you can manage your own schedule and territory

Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach to client service

Confidence presenting product and communicating brand value

An understanding of the sales cycle and ability to manage commercial outcomes

Familiarity with CRM and sales tools

A valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly
