We are currently seeking an experienced container unloading operations Area Manager with experience in the container unloading service industry for our busy Brisbane-based operation. Based in Springwood, you will be working under the State Operations Management team, work will be focused around the south and west of brisbane, and your duties and responsibilities will include:

Purpose of Position

Ensuring strict safety standards are enforced on sites through the implementation of work method statements and site safety inspections

Ensuring daily servicing of clients by achieving 100% KPI's - all shipping containers booked the previous day are unpacked according to ACUG standards and procedures

Servicing customers through site visits to the highest standards, and ensuring retention and effective management of container crews

Scheduling container crews for the following days' containers

Replacing staff at short notice if required daily

Traveling to various warehouse and logistics sites to ensure container crews are on site with no issues

Communicate with customers relating to any service non-conformances and resolve issues

UNLOADING CONTAINERS as necessary and driving forklifts to unload palletized stock from shipping containers

Maintaining strong communication flow with all customers to ensure all required information is being articulated and received to ensure a well-organized container unpack

Manage the quality of shipping container unpacking, safety, and supply of labour to ensure the best outcome is achieved for the customer

Education & Experience

Knowledge of shipping container unloading processes (essential)

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the shipping container unloading industry is required

Possess a current forklift license and experience in operating forklifts (essential)

Must hold a current Australian car licence (C class)

Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage customer expectations

2 or more year's of operational experience in warehousing/logistics operations

Physically fit and able to unload shipping containers when necessary

Must be capable of moderate lifting between 15-25kg as part of container unloading duties

In-depth experience in conflict resolution and staff management

Exceptional leadership and communication skills

Must be an Australian permanent resident with full work rights
