We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Finance & Business Manager to join our dynamic civil construction business in Penfield Gardens. This role offers not just day-to-day impact but a clear pathway for long-term career development and leadership growth.

The Role

This is a hands-on and high-impact role, ideal for someone who’s ready to take the next step in their finance career. You’ll work closely with our CFO and be an integral part of the business, helping manage core financial operations while also gaining exposure to strategic decision-making.

You'll also support and lead elements of our administration function, assist project managers, and step in during leave periods — giving you a well-rounded view of both finance and operations.

Key responsibilities include

Maintaining and manage all finance records in MYOB and liaising with company Accountants.

Accounts payable &receivable, including payment runs.

Payroll support for payroll office when required.

Superannuation reporting and payments.

Bank reconciliations, preparation of BAS, GST, and other ATO compliance tasks.

Assist with the management of administration staff and workload.

Provide support to the Project Managers and Senior Management Team.

Contributing to process improvements, office systems, and generate admin support tasks.

The successful applicant will be a team player who is organised, confident, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to the success of the finance and admin team.

Experience and Skills

Minimum 2 Years experience in a finance or accounting role

Knowledge of construction processes, and compliance requirements

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Proficient with MYOB AccountRight and Microsoft Office Suite

Must be available to work full time in the office, Monday-Friday
