About the role
Safety Direct Solutions (SDS) is seeking highly organised and empathetic Injury Management professional to join our on-site team and play a critical role in facilitating positive return-to-work outcomes for our employees.
This role is primarily office-based and focused on comprehensive case management of workplace injuries. You will be the central point of contact, ensuring effective communication and coordination across multiple stakeholders to support our employees' recovery and successful return to work.
Roster Options:
5:2 / 4:3 roster: 9-hour shifts
4:3 roster: 10-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing long-term injury cases (greater than four days from the time of injury).
Facilitating return-to-work plans by effectively liaising with the injured worker, insurer, line leaders, and HR.
Administering Workers Compensation Injury Management claims.
Managing Salary Continuance Injury Management cases.
Accurate Injury Reporting using the LGIRS system.
You will work collaboratively with the OHN's (for injury management reporting), the Safety Systems Team (for Talison reporting), and the WHS Superintendent (for LGIRS reporting). There may be an occasional requirement to assist with in-clinic Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) duties.

HULC (Hand & Upper Limb Centre)
Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Mental Health FFW assessments (telehealth and in-person)

Essential Skills, Certifications & Experience
Minimum qualification as a Registered Nurse
No restrictions or provisions attached to your AHPRA Registration
Proven experience in managing complex Workers' Compensation and non-compensable injury cases.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for accurate reporting.
