The Business Partner, Finance, is responsible for providing accounting, reporting and data analysis support and act as a conduit between Finance / Corporate Services and the wider organisation. To actively engage and collaborate across the business on operating results, forecast and opportunities, and support management on ad-hoc queries from time to time.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in financial and budget management in a corporate or government environment.
- Experience in budgets, business partnering, reporting procedures, accounting practices and principles; the Financial Management Act 1994, Financial Reporting Directions (FRDs) and Australian Accounting Standards would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated understanding of the accounting principles and some understanding of standards as applied in the government sector.

About the BPC
The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing. It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.
Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
