About the role

Join the talented team at Aqua Dental as a Dental Assistant in our Paradise Point, QLD practice. This is a casual role with flexible scheduling to suit your needs. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting our dentists and providing exceptional patient care.

What you'll be doing

Assisting dentists during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring the treatment area is organised and sterile

Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice, and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit

Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments in accordance with infection control protocols

Managing patient records and scheduling appointments

Providing post-operative instructions and education to patients

Maintaining a high standard of infection control and workplace health and safety

Full training provided to inexperienced applicants

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Dental Assisting or minimum 6 months' experience in a dental practice environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to put patients at ease

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Passion for providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental team

Certificate III in Dental Assisting (HLT35021) or equivalent recognised qualification

Proficiency in dental practice management software (Exact and HICAPS preferred) and Microsoft Office applications

Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship available)

Experience with HICAPS and health fund claiming processes (training provided if needed)
