Wyndham Harbour in Werribee South is seeking a positive, energetic, self-motivated and experienced Head Chef to join our team at 3030 Waterfront, it's Functions Space and the Kiosk at Mini Golf..
As Head Chef you will be managing all back-of-house operations, including the day to day running of the kitchen, managing all kitchen staff to ensure that the highest quality of food is served to our guests. You will have a solid understanding of current food trends and styles, with an solid background in modern Australian and European cooking. You will have a solid understanding of food costing, budgeting and ensuring that all food and labour costs are met inline with the business goals.

Head Chef Duties
Directing and implementing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, ensuring all staff are following standard recipes
Managing a clean and efficient workspace
Supervise all kitchen staff on a day to day basis
Strong communication style with a positive
Maintain control of the kitchen at all times to ensure its running effectively and efficiency within costs
Understanding seasonality of ingredients, development and implementation of menus
Make sure that all staff adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen and work area
Managing weekly Kitchen Rosters
Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Venues Manager to align kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the Venues and business
Strong understanding of stock ordering and stock control
Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers
Attend weekly Operations Meetings
Head Chef Requirements
Ability to remain clam in a high pressure environment
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
A very good sense of humour
Ability to oversee and manage kitchen operations
