About the Role

As a Diesel Motor Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This includes profilers, loaders, excavators, rock crushers, trucks, and a fleet of around 50 diesel-powered vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.

Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.

Complete accurate work orders and maintenance records.

Keep your workspace clean, organised, and communicate clearly with supervisors.

Skills & Qualifications

Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.

Proficiency with diagnostic tools and interpreting technical diagrams.

A current driver’s licence (essential).

Previous experience working with construction machinery (desirable).
