We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join a large statutory organisation on a contract basis. This is a key leadership role driving the uplift of claims quality, governance, and assurance in a highly regulated environment.

The Role

• Oversee structure, strategy, and governance for quality assurance across the claims life cycle.
• Design and embed a fit-for-purpose QA framework that strengthens compliance, improves decision-making, and supports customer outcomes.
• Partner with executives and senior leaders to provide confidence in claims quality and assurance.
• Coach and develop QA leaders, ensuring sustainable capability for the future.
• Act as a transformation lead, introducing best practice processes, tools, and governance.

Key Deliverables

• Immediate assurance uplift through structured reviews and reporting.
• Development of a clear QA strategy and framework that aligns with regulatory standards.
• Identification of best practice, tools, and systems to support sustainable QA outcomes.
• Strong governance and calibration processes that reduce risk and increase transparency.
• Robust engagement with stakeholders to challenge current practices and embed improvements.

About You

• Experienced quality assurance professional with a strong background in regulatory, statutory, or compliance-driven sectors (for example, workers' compensation, personal injury, government insurance, financial services, or large public sector programs).
• Skilled in governance, audit, and assurance frameworks, with a proven track record of leading quality uplift initiatives.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level.
• Adept at driving transformation while building trust and capability in operational teams.
• Collaborative, pragmatic, and confident in navigating complex, regulated environments.

Contract details:

• Flexible hybrid work model, with 50% WFH and core hours between 9am-4pm.
• Contract duration through June, with potential for extension.
• Based in Brisbane CBD, working within a cohesive and supportive team.
