Our client, a Federal Government department whose focus is the wellbeing and welfare of all Australians, requires the services of a senior Solution Designer.

Duties of the Solution Designer

• Conduct detailed analysis of the landscape and provide forthright informative input into the overall solution based on one's own experience and input from key stakeholders.
• Develop or configure and deploy software in accordance with industry best practices and policies within the agency.
• Manage stakeholder interactions and provide a persuasive argument for the solution design and development.
• Document Key decisions, designs and technical outputs for future re-use and training purposes.

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years of experience in undertaking technical implementations of ICT Infrastructure works involving both on-prem and cloud domains.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business and systems analysis in a large organisation with sound understanding of platforms, cloud architecture, APIs, data flows, and infrastructure.
• Knowledge and experience in providing solution architecture and technology consultancy services in large complex information technology environments.

Desirable criteria

• Experience and/or certification in enterprise and solutions architecture (e.g. AWS, Azure, TOGAF).
• Good understanding in integration development and design with APIs, microservices and a strong understanding of backend and full stack development principles.
• Experience in continuous quality improvement activities.
