About the company:
Our client is a fast-growing construction projects business known for delivering complex, large-scale builds with precision, integrity, and a strong people-first approach. An exciting opportunity has opened up to join their People & Culture team as an HR Coordinator. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this is an ideal role for someone to put their HR studies into practice. You’ll be supported by a knowledgeable and dynamic leader who’s passionate about mentoring and helping professionals thrive.

The company is based in South Melbourne, close to public transport. This role is 5 days onsite.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the HR Manager and wider team across a range of HR functions while learning on the job in a hands-on environment.
  • Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Maintaining HR records and managing employee data
  • Supporting with timesheets, payroll inputs and leave tracking
  • Helping coordinate training, development and performance review activities
  • Answering general employee queries and assisting with day-to-day HR operations
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of HR systems and processes

You will have:

  • A degree in Human Resources
  • Ideally some exposure to HR through an internship, placement or part-time role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive nature, with a willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative
  • Confident with Microsoft Office (especially Word, Outlook and Excel)
