About the role

The Human Resource Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources function and Corporate Services area of FPHW, ensuring the efficient delivery of HR services, processes and policies. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities, and supporting HR programs that contribute to a positive and compliant workplace culture.

Champion for Employment Hero HR Management System

Administrative Tasks

Coordinating WEAVE professional development plans with management

Other work in scope of skills and ability

About you

Skills and Attributes:

Cultural competency

Knowledgeable and well versed in Fairwork Australia guidelines including modernised awards and National Employment Standards

Experience in HR record management systems

Strong organisational and time management skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information

Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships across teams

Experience in Project Management of HR & administration requirements

Ability to develop and maintain HR systems and processes

Ability to work independently and provide an objective oversight of HR and workforce matters across the organisation and contribute to a high performing executive team

Ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills

Strong time management skills and ability to deliver results in a busy environment that supports senior management and is aligned with FPHW’s values and passion for its vision

Key Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Experience

Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Previous experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role preferred

Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems (Eg: Employment Hero)

Desirable

Prior experience working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation and a strong understanding of cultural safety and awareness

The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following:

National police check

Working with children’s check

Professional reference check current

Two referees
