Roads 2000 strongly welcomes applicants not based in Perth to apply. However, this role will be based in Perth, Western Australia; therefore, the successful candidate will need to be open to relocating.

About the Role

As the Asphalt Supervisor, you’ll be the main point of contact onsite, overseeing day-to-day operations of Asphalt laying within our projects in both the Perth Metropolitan and regional areas of WA.

You will be responsible for Supervising, leading and further developing a team of skilled asphalt workers as well maintaining relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and resources to ensure works are completed on time, within budget, smoothly, safely, and to specification, with KPI's measured against each job.

The position will be based at our Asphalt plant in Wangara, reporting to a Senior Supervisor and will require regular travel to regional areas within Western Australia, rosters may include nightshift and weekend work.

Skills

Coordinate and supervise the work of Asphalt laying crews to ensure works are completed efficiently and to the required quality standards

Liaise with Projects team, Production team, scheduling coordinator and and other stakeholders to address scheduling and planning requirements

Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations

Monitor and report on the progress of work, providing regular updates to management

Identify and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency on site

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team

Manage site documentation, scope and measure jobs and draw sketches

Experience

Significant experience (5+ years) as an Asphalt Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry, Asphalt and Road construction experience preferable.

Strong knowledge of Asphalt laying techniques, materials, and equipment required to deliver compliant final product

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders with a focus on customer satisfaction

Proven track record of previous Supervision/ Foreman experience, successfully supervising roads construction work from start to finish

Qualifications

S26 Supervisor certificate

Cert IV in Civil Construction

Chain of responsibility

Police Clearance

Valid Driver's License

White card

Able to pass regular Drug and Alcohol Testing
