Posted 12 days ago
The Policy Officer holds a strategic role, responsible for leading the development and implementation of evidence-based policy to understand further and support language revitalisation work. The officer will specifically work to position Language Revitalisation as a sector and explore how it may function across institutions and stakeholders. Funded by the Department of Premier and Cabinet and through Closing the Gap, we strive to create a roadmap that aligns with the corresponding requirements. You must drive transformative policy to position Language Revitalisation as a vital, functioning sector. In this strategic role, you will lead the development of a national roadmap, building powerful stakeholder relationships to embed change across government and community. Your evidence-based work will directly support Closing the Gap Target 16, ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages are strong, supported, and celebrated. This is your chance to architect a lasting legacy for Australia’s cultural heritage. Lead the change.
