Are you passionate about precision, data, and the great outdoors? AJS Surveys is expanding and looking for motivated individuals to join our dynamic team. We have multiple exciting opportunities available for: Surveyor’s Assistant Undergraduate Surveyor Graduate Surveyor Cadastral Surveyor.

As a Land Surveyor at AJS Surveys, you will be responsible for surveying in diverse and challenging projects in the greater Brisbane area. These are full-time/part-time roles that involve both office-based work and on-site fieldwork, providing you with a diverse and rewarding career opportunity.

What you'll be doing

Conducting land surveys using a variety of surveying equipment and techniques

Preparing contour/detail maps, plans, and reports to document the results of land surveys

Collaborating with clients, construction teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of survey data

Maintaining and calibrating surveying equipment to ensure reliable and precise measurements

Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, best practices, and technological advancements

Contributing to the overall success and growth of the AJS Surveys team

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification or studying in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Land Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry

Strong technical skills in the use of surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners, plus proficiency in AutoCAD and surveying software (Magnet or similar)

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to interpret survey data and identify solutions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members

Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accurate and reliable survey results

A valid driver's licence and the ability to work in outdoor environments

Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa

Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain one
