About the Role
We are currently seeking Quantity Surveyors located in Brisbane with experience or an interest in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, and Electrical projects.
Ideal candidates will have a strong grasp of cost and estimating principles, combined with the right attitude to take on complex and challenging roles. At CostMEI, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are valued just as highly as experience.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting cost planning and estimation across all stages of project development — from early budgeting with minimal information through to contract negotiation and variation assessment.
You’ll work across a variety of projects, preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissions, while collaborating closely with senior team members and clients.
We’d Love to Hear From You If You Have:
1–5 years’ experience in quantity surveying or cost management (consultancy or contractor background welcome)
Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, civil, structural, or electrical disciplines
A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Engineering
Proficiency in CostX, Buildsoft, Expert Estimator, Candy or similar software
Ability to work collaboratively, seeking and providing support within a team environment
A proactive mindset and ability to find solutions even when information is limited
Knowledge of the construction market, clients, suppliers, and contractors
Eligibility to work in Australia, with flexibility for occasional travel
