Senior Financial Accountant
System - TM1
Location : Sydney - Immediate start required

My client is a leading Insurance group in Sydney CBD. Due to an internal secondment, they are looking to bring in a Senior Financial Accountant to bridge the gap in the accounting team.

Duties will include:

• Review month end financial reports, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Support financial reporting to meet group deadlines and statutory requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive process improvements and transformation and system initiatives
• Anticipate financial reporting implications of new business developments and changes in the regulatory framework
• Review and improve internal financial controls and processes to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Review the work of the broader team and provide meaningful insights to management
• Assist and review work on current projects including building a module into the General Ledger.
• Deal with queries from the business around accounting standards advising on impact and risk.

To be considered you will be CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) and have previous experience using TM1 (essential). You will have excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify, report and follow up on outstanding items and anomalies before submission; along with demonstrated understanding of IFRS and AAS.
