About the role

Murray Irrigation is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our Finance team in Deniliquin.

As a Finance Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the finance team with a range of tasks, including:

Accounts payable and receivable support

Invoice checking and posting

Supplier EFT payment processing

Credit card review and processing

Weekly water exchange seller payments

Bank reconciliations

Actioning customer queries via CIRAS (Customer Information Recording and Action System)

General administrative and ad hoc finance support

The perfect candidate

Essential Criteria:

Qualification in accounting/bookkeeping or relevant experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail and data entry accuracy

Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles

Desirable Criteria:

Experience with accounting software (Pronto Financial System preferred)

Knowledge of the agricultural or irrigation sector

Additional accounting training or experience

Salary Range

$67,800 to $79,700 (plus 12% employer super contribution)
