Based in Braeside, DGM Turf/Environmental Contractors specialise in the renovation, maintenance, and construction of natural turf surfaces including sports fields and recreation areas for schools, councils, and sporting clubs as well as beach cleaning. We are an established contractor in the Victorian Sports Turf Industry with a long-term contract in the City of Kingston and ongoing sports field maintenance, renovation, and construction works across Melbourne.

About the Role

We currently have a vacancy for a casual Tractor Operator to join our team, you will be working on exciting new turf, and beach projects. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Tractor, ride-on cylinder, and rotary mowing duties

Brush cutting sports fields and perimeters of ovals

Operating tractor mechanical beach raking attachments

Maintaining knowledge of machinery operation and skill levels in tractors, cylinder/rotary mowers, utes with trailers, and trucks

Adhering to health, safety, and cleanliness standards for machines

About You

Along with a strong work ethic and preferably previous experience in a similar role, you'll have/be:

A current valid driver's license

Full Australian working rights, permanent residency or a valid working holiday visa

Experience with ride-on mowers and/or machinery preferred

Minimum 6 months of tractor operating experience required

A friendly, can-do attitude

Self-motivation, organisation, physical fitness, and the ability to work autonomously

High attention to detail and strong knowledge of OH&S requirements
