Senior Legal Secretary – Personal Injury (Rockhampton or Brisbane)

About the Role

This is a full-time position supporting our Principal and Associates in managing plaintiff personal injury matters across Queensland. You’ll be an integral part of a small, hands-on team where no job is beneath anyone — we all pitch in to keep things running smoothly.

You’ll handle end-to-end file support including:

Managing client calls with professionalism and accurate file note recording

Preparing matters for conferences and mediations

Drafting and formatting affidavits, exhibits, and court documents

Preparing and collating briefs to counsel and experts

Booking and managing Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs)

Processing payments and managing invoices

Obtaining and organising medical and employment records

Maintaining meeting minutes and document management systems

General administrative and file management support

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

Significant experience in plaintiff personal injury law (essential)

A strong understanding of the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 (Qld), Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002 (Qld), and Motor Accident Insurance Act 1994 (Qld)

Excellent communication, attention to detail and initiative

A proactive, adaptable mindset — you’re the type who figures things out, not waits to be told

The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

A genuine team spirit and willingness to “get stuck in” when needed
