About MIEACT
MIEACT is a respected, not-for-profit mental health education organisation, established in 1993. Our mission is to deliver impactful programs to schools, workplaces, and the wider community, promoting help-seeking, knowledge, and stigma reduction. We are growing our reach and impact, supporting safe and effective use of lived experience in mental health education.
The Roles
We are hiring for several positions in both roles:
Program Facilitator (DoNOHarm): Help deliver and develop MIEACT’s adult and community programs, including DoNOHarm and workplace training. Facilitate engaging sessions, tailor content for diverse audiences, and create safe spaces for open discussion. Support program administration, collect feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Program Educator (YAM Instructor): Present a variety of MIEACT programs to schools across Canberra and the ACT region, including Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) and mental health literacy initiatives. Ensure effective delivery, uphold program fidelity, and maintain professional standards while engaging students and staff.

What We’re Looking For
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Confident, empathetic facilitator who engages and inspires diverse groups
Experience engaging with vulnerable people or diverse groups
Ability to tailor and deliver interactive program content
Relevant qualifications or experience in mental health, education, public health, or facilitation
Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive, can-do attitude
Strong digital literacy for both in-person and online program delivery
Current Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
