Tasks & responsibilities

Provide service support to our existing customers and generate service reports from the visit.

Using specialised equipment, take measurements of our products and machine, analysis the data and produce a detailed report to the customer

Build strong working relationships and rapport with customers.

Produce mill visit reports, update Customer Relationship Database (CRM) and submit product samples for analysis.

Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate to people from all cultures, experience and levels

Ensure that all service equipment is well maintained and in good working order.

About the role

The role is a full-time hybrid role

The role is very independent and requires a mature and self-driven individual.

The role requires carrying heavy equipment, climbing ladders and moving within tight restricted spaces, the applicant must maintain appropriate physical fitness to be able to safely and effectively fulfill the requirements of the role

Standard 38-hour week. Flexibility required in start and finish times based on customer requirements.

Approx. 30 nights away p.a.

Must provide own vehicle for domestic travel. Car allowance provided and all fuel used for work travel is reimbursed.

As part of training, a trip overseas to our manufacturing facility within 6-9 months of starting.

Overseas sales conference every 2-3 years, typically in APAC region.

Qualifications & experience

Pulp/Paper Industry experience will be looked upon favourably

Minimum 5 years’ work experience, ideally in service, sales or technical role in a production environment

Ideally have undergraduate degree in engineering or science, or trade qualification.

Well-developed computer skills and presentation skills

A valid driver’s license and passport is required during employment

Valid passport.

Most have Right To Work in Australia.

As a Sales & Service Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting our products and customers across Australia and New Zealand, primarily N.S.W, Vic and QLD. The service work is mostly scheduled visits with no on-call roster.

The service work requires analysis of our product’s performance, assist in troubleshooting machine or product issues and helping to optimise the paper machines performance. This is a hands-on role which will involve work on our customer’s pulp & paper machines.

This is a unique opportunity to enter the pulp & paper industry and all training for the role will be provided by our local and overseas technical and service team.

The role requires a mature and diligent individual who is able to work independently. For the right person, there are many avenues for future career progression in either product applications or in sales.
