Piermont Retreat is located on Tasmania's beautiful East Coast, near the charming town of Swansea. The property features a mix of self-contained cottages, modern residences, and spa suites with stunning views of Great Oyster Bay. It is also home to Homestead Restaurant, one of the East Coast's top dining venues, known for its casual yet refined atmosphere and coastal views.
We are seeking an experienced Guest Services & Reservations professional to join our Front Office team. This role is essential for delivering outstanding guest experiences and supporting other departments, including marketing and events. You will work closely with the senior management team to oversee daily operations, assist with administrative tasks and reporting, provide staff training, and help develop effective structures and processes to maintain Piermont Retreat's high standards across all departments.
What you'll be doing
Providing exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring a welcoming and memorable experience
Handling all guest enquiries and reservations in a timely and professional manner
Answering incoming calls, responding to emails and managing online booking systems
Assisting with guest check-in and check-out processes
Responding to guest feedback and resolving any issues or complaints
Maintaining detailed records and reporting on key guest service metrics
Supporting other front office and guest services duties as required
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, ideally in a front office or reservations position
Minimum 2 years' experience in a customer service or hospitality role, ideally in a front office or reservations position
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional manner
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently to meet deadlines
Competent in using reservation systems (preferably Newbook and Sevenrooms)
Knowledge of the local area and tourism industry would be an advantage
Passion to take ownership and make your own
Flexibility to work within a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays
