Our client is an industry leader within wholesale that is continuing to grow due to a commitment to innovation, quality and collaboration. With a workforce of approximately 29 and over 60 contractors, they endorse state of the art facilities in the northern suburbs which this role will play a key part in managing.

About the Role

Reporting into a hands-on and dynamic COO, you will be responsible for the smooth running of an on-the-floor wholesale and security operations across a 60-hectare site. With the support of 5 direct reports and 16 indirect reports, you will enforce operating rules, enhance on-site relationships with tenants, contractors and visitors and identify areas for improvement in process.

If you are an early riser - this role will be for you! Times outlined below.

This role is Monday-Friday, 4am-12pm, 100% office based, free parking on site.

Duties

Some of your key duties will include:

• Overseeing, supervising, and coaching the operations and security functions
• Ensuring on site compliance with WHS policies, procedures, and reporting system requirements for injury, incidents, near misses and hazard events
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all project stakeholders, including government, statutory authorities, and contractors as required
• Work with the COO to develop and maintain operating plans, incorporating systems, resourcing and controls to continuously evolve operating plans to adapt to sustainable market operation trends.
• Being on the floor on-site to have oversight of security, observing and enforcing operating rules and identifying areas to implement improvements

Skills & Experience

To be a successful candidate you must have:

• Previous experience in a similar Operations Management role, having run a site focused on enforcing security and OHS measures - essential
• Previous experience managing & motivating a team - essential
• Possess critical thinking and challenge the status quo on site
