We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Business Development and Advertising Sales Specialist to join our dynamic Sydney team. This exciting role focuses on growing revenue across a portfolio of our unique, niche-market titles.

The Role

You will be responsible for end-to-end sales, from prospecting, pitch and relationship building to closing deals across print, digital, and custom content solutions. Success in this role means tapping into the passion points of our niche audiences and offering tailored advertising solutions that deliver real results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development: Actively identify, prospect, and secure new advertising partners across relevant industries.

Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients and media agencies.

Consultative Selling: Understand client marketing objectives and propose integrated, multi-platform advertising solutions (print ads, digital banners, native content, social media campaigns, event sponsorships, etc.).

Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs for your assigned portfolio of niche brands.

Market Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the media landscape.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Editorial, Production, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.

About You

Proven Sales Track Record: Minimum 5+ years of experience in media sales, advertising sales, or business development, preferably within a publishing or media environment.

Niche Market Interest: A genuine interest in special interest/niche markets (e.g., specific sports, hobbies, or lifestyle categories) is highly advantageous.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Digital Acumen: Solid understanding of digital advertising products, social media, and content marketing.

Drive & Initiative: Highly motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently to manage a sales pipeline.

Location: Based in Sydney and able to travel for client meetings and industry events.
