The Career Medical Officer (CMO) will provide support to medical specialists in the management of a broad case-mix in adult medical, surgical and rehabilitation inpatients.

To be successful, St Vincent's Lismore expect; excellent clinical skills and judgment with demonstrated competency. Safe effective patient care is essential. Experience in critical care, cardiology, emergency medicine and / or anaesthetics would be viewed very favourably.

Demonstrated clinical experience in adult hospital medicine and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team of health / allied health care professionals and an understanding of The National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.

Essential

• MBBS/MD or equivalent;
• Medical Practitioner - AHPRA Registration;
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) Accreditation;
• Minimum three years full time postgraduate experience in the Australian healthcare system
• The right to work in Australia (Australian citizen or permanent resident) to be considered eligible to apply for this position
• National Criminal History Check (NCHC) (under 3 months since issue date)
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Meet the vaccination requirements for a NSW Health Category A position, excluding COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccinations.
