Our client is a market in leader in the digital space. They are currently seeking a Payroll Consultant with deep Ascender payroll system experience and proven knowledge across Australian and New Zealand payroll. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and support our clients in delivering accurate and compliant payroll solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing using Ascender for Australian and New Zealand clients.
• Ensure payrolls are processed accurately and in compliance with local tax, superannuation/KiwiSaver, and employment legislation.
• Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and provide guidance on system issues and enhancements.
• Liaise with HR, finance, and external stakeholders to resolve payroll queries and ensure seamless integration.
• Assist in system implementations, migrations, or upgrades within Ascender.
• Stay current on legislative updates and ensure compliance across both countries.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, including STP (Australia) and payday filing (NZ).

About You

• 3+ years payroll experience
• Must have experience with Ascender Payroll systems
• Solid knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation
• Experience with multi-client or complex payroll environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• High attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
