Robert Half is currently recruiting a Payroll Officer for a well-respected organisation that specialises within the aged care / home care sector. This team boasts amazing leadership as well as a true team-based culture.

The Payroll Officer is responsible for providing an efficient payroll service to the organisation, including the timely processing of payroll in an accurate & timely manner.

The Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll duties.

Some typical duties will involve:

• Data entry of time-sheets
• Ensure all staff receive appropriate entitlements in relation to awards, agreements, contracts
• Manual pay adjustments & amendments
• Understanding & interpretation of complex EBAs & awards
• Manage employee records and administer appropriate changes
• Calculation of terminations / redundancies
• Participate in audits and reviews of payroll and leave records.
• Payroll reporting
• Resolution of payroll queries

This position is moving quickly with the successful candidate hopefully able to commence immediately.

Your Profile

To be successful you will have proven experience in a high-volume payroll role, preferably within the aged care / home care sector. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

• Excellent communication and written skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to handle a high-volume workload
• A demonstrated experience in interpreting complex awards and enterprise agreements

An ability to pick up new systems will also be required with previous exposure to PayGlobal an advantage.
