About the role
As the Principal Medical Education Officer, you'll provide expert leadership and coordination within the Medical Education Unit (MEU), ensuring the delivery of outstanding education and support for prevocational doctors. Working closely with the Director of Clinical Training and key stakeholders, you'll drive programs that meet accreditation standards and promote clinical excellence across North West HHS.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and evaluate medical education and supervisor training programs.
- Provide expert advice to the Director of Clinical Training on workforce learning needs and accreditation.
- Mentor and support junior doctors in their career development and clinical performance.
- Manage education resources, staff and budgets within the MEU.
Requirements
- Possession of a relevant bachelor's degree in education / adult education, or a higher qualification in health education, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Hep B and Tuberculosis.
