About the role
As a part of one of the highest performing TtW teams in Australia, you’ll support young people aged 15–24 to overcome barriers and achieve their goals through tailored mentoring, employment preparation, and connection to work or training opportunities.
You’ll work closely with local employers, training providers, and community organisations to create meaningful pathways that empower young people to thrive.
What will I do a Youth Consultant?
Providing one-on-one coaching and mentoring to young participants
Supporting young people to identify their strengths, interests, and career goals
Developing individualised Job Plans and tracking progress
Working with employers to source and maintain sustainable job placements
Connecting participants to training, work experience, or community engagement opportunities
Collaborating with a passionate team committed to youth success
Who can be an Youth Consultant?
You’re someone who believes in young people — their potential, their resilience, and their ability to succeed with the right support.
You’ll bring:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Empathy, patience, and a positive, youth-focused attitude
Experience in employment services, youth work, training, or a related field (highly regarded)
Ability to build rapport and motivate young people from diverse backgrounds
Sound organisational and administrative skills
A current driver’s licence and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain, Criminal History Check and hold a myID
