Flooring Xtra is a small but dedicated team who strive to provide our customers with an exceptional flooring experience. We provide both domestic and commercial flooring, specialising in carpet, carpet tiles, vinyl and hard flooring including hybrid, laminate and engineered timber. This is a full-time position but we are happy to discuss alternatives.

Your job will be to sell flooring, carpet & blinds to residential customers (homeowners). You will be based at our showroom and out on the road to attend hot sales leads taken from the showroom. There is no cold calling, all your sales leads are people who have contacted us, and asked for our services.

While sales experience will help you in this position, it is not a requirement, neither is industry experience. We are looking for an applicant with the right attitude and the right work ethic that are hungry to make some sales and earn commission. You bring the right attitude and hunger; we will show you the ropes.

Qualifications & experience

• Customer focused with a desire to provide great customer service

• Friendly with good oral and written communication skills

• Ability to be flexible and work in a team

• Takes pride in their work with an attention to detail

• Valid driver’s license

• Good numeracy and measuring skills essential

Tasks & responsibilities

• Assisting customer with the selection of their flooring & blinds

• Measuring and quoting of jobs

• Ordering of products

• Liaising with customers, installers, and the warehouse to co-ordinate installations.

• General office duties

• Assist in maintaining the presentation of the store
