Position Overview

The Marketing & Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and communication initiatives to enhance he organisation’s visibility, strengthen engagement with community, and support business development.

We will actively collaborate with the successful applicant to prioritise strategies and tasks that fit within the agreed weekly hours.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy – With your expert knowledge develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned to our new strategic priorities.

Brand- Safeguard and enhance our brand across all channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with our values and practice.

Analytics and Reporting – Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics to optimise campaigns and demonstrate ROI to internal and external stakeholders.

Digital & Content Management

Digital Marketing - Liaise with organisational management, identify, investigate and implement (in consultation with the Business Manager) new and emerging ways of engaging on social media and online platforms.

Content Development – Coordinate and create engaging content aligned to our brand for various platforms, including website, social media and promotional materials.

Promotions & Outreach

Promotional Campaigns – Develop and implement targeted promotional campaigns to drive community engagement utilising various marketing channels to reach key audiences effectively in consultation with Business Manager.

Business Development Support – Assist with business development initiatives, contributing to strategies that support and increase the value and impact of our community partnerships.

Partnership Development – Identify strategic partnership opportunities to expand the organisation’s reach

Community Engagement – Contribute to connections with our community partnerships through targeted outreach and engagement initiatives.

Marketing Collateral

Collaborate with the Business Manager to develop and utilise marketing collateral in a strategic manner with community partners to enhance and expand our organisations reach.

Key relationships

Internal – Directors, Business Manager, and staff as required who are responsible for client relationship management

External – Potential Partners, community organisations, media and relevant networks.

Our Ways of Working

People work in branch and remotely.

This role requires a high degree of flexibility to achieve key responsibilities.

A monthly meeting will be required face to face as a minimum.

We have a Board of Directors that are elected at our AGM annually.

We encourage consultative decision making.

Key Relationships and Responsibilities

Directors - Where required , work with Directors to ensure a shared understanding of how marketing can have its best effect within the organisation including recommending priorities to achieve key goals, report progress, suggest improvements and flag emerging issues.

Business Manager – work in close collaboration with the Business Manager to implement key marketing/communications strategies and activities including budgets.

Teams – to support our team to build external relationships with strategic partners, community partners, community leaders, government officials, philanthropists and broader communities of interest to help us to fulfill our strategic direction.

Skills & Experience

Essential

· Ideally, you would have

* At least two years’ experience in communications or marketing

* Strong written communication skills

* Experience developing, delivering and reporting on promotional events

· Proven experience in marketing and communications.

· Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable marketing plans and initiatives.

· A flexible work approach to achieve outcomes

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to create compelling content that resonate with the diverse audiences.

· Experience manager website and digital marketing campaigns

· Proficiency in email marketing platforms, social media management and analytics tools.

· Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and team members.

· Strong organisational and project management skills

· Comfortable navigating both the details and the bigger-picture strategic work as needed.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and flexibly, as well as cooperatively as part of a team

· Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to manage time independently, prioritise and manage competing demands with a high level of professionalism

Highly Valued

· Experience in business development and partnership building

· Graphic design skills

· Track record of motivating and developing community relationships.

· Ability to design digital content for campaigns in line with brand guidelines

· Well-developed analytical skills including the ability to assess and translate research, practice, consultation and date into accessible, engaging content.

· A demonstrated ability to source relevant and engaging stories and information and translate into clear and consistent content across a range of formats.

· Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation skills.

Education & qualifications

· Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, business development
