About the role

We are seeking an experienced cook/chef to join our team at The Farm Shed Wine Centre in Bicheno, Tasmania on a 6-month contract(with potential for ongoing or permanent). As an Experienced cook/chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our guests in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for breakfast takeaway item and sit down dinner service

Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met

Collaborating with the management team to deliver exceptional guest experiences

Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of kitchen supplies

Assisting with menu planning and development

Providing guidance and training to front of house team serving food

What we're looking for

At least 3 years of experience as a cook/chef in a fast-paced hospitality setting

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations

Ability to work well in a team and under pressure

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Passion for creating delicious, high-quality food

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
