We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Candidate Manager to join our chef recruitment team. This role is central to ensuring that our clients across New South Wales and Queensland are matched with skilled onshore and offshore chefs. The Candidate Manager will also oversee the end-to-end deployment process for offshore chefs relocating to Australia, ensuring a smooth transition from candidate selection through to arrival.
This position is ideal for a recruiter with at least 2 years of B2B recruitment experience who is looking for a role with less emphasis on sales and a stronger focus on account and candidate management.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Management & Allocation
Manage the allocation of both onshore and offshore chefs to client employers across NSW and QLD.
Maintain strong candidate pipelines and ensure candidates are placed into suitable roles that align with employer needs.
Conduct candidate screening, reference checks, and coordinate interviews.
Provide ongoing support to candidates throughout the recruitment and placement process.
Deployment & Onboarding of Offshore Chefs
Oversee the deployment process for offshore chefs relocating to Australia.
Arrange travel logistics, including booking flights and coordinating arrival schedules.
Secure temporary and/or long-term accommodation for arriving chefs.
Act as a point of contact for offshore candidates during their relocation and settlement period.
Client Relationship Management
Act as the primary liaison between employers and candidates, ensuring smooth communication and placement outcomes.
Provide regular updates to clients on candidate availability and progress.
Ensure high service levels by responding promptly to client queries and requests.
Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate candidate records and placement documentation.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with visa and migration requirements.
Prepare and deliver reports on candidate placements, allocations, and deployment progress.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of B2B recruitment experience, preferably in hospitality or a related sector.
Strong candidate management and relationship-building skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Experience in coordinating travel and relocation logistics (desirable).
A client-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
