Location: Based in and around the Toowoomba (homelands of the Jagera, Giabal, and Jarowair peoples) area with outreach required
Salary: $48 - $61per hour depending on experience and qualifications + 12% Super + Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550
Join a passionate, multidisciplinary team delivering person-centred mental health care as part of the new Toowoomba Integrated Mental Health Hub, an innovative partnership between Each, Wellways, Lumsden Psychology, QPASTT and Goondir Health Services.
Your role, your impact
As a Psychologist in the Toowoomba Integrated Mental Health Hub, you’ll provide accessible, person-centred, and trauma-informed psychological care. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll support individuals and families to achieve their mental health and wellbeing goals through evidence-based interventions and integrated care.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive mental health and psychological assessments to inform individualised treatment planning
Deliver evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, relaxation strategies, and motivational interviewing
Provide crisis response, de-escalation, and risk management support when required
Build strong therapeutic relationships and support collaborative decision-making and goal setting
Facilitate group interventions and provide secondary consultation and referral reviews
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, holistic care for participants
Engage with community and consortia partners to strengthen referral pathways and service linkages
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with quality and compliance standards
Who we’re looking for
Fully registered Psychologist with AHPRA and relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology
Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in the mental health sector
Demonstrated ability to deliver evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing
Experience conducting mental health assessments, providing crisis intervention, and managing clients with moderate to complex presentations
Strong understanding of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage participants, carers, families and stakeholders effectively
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary or consortium setting
Commitment to culturally safe, inclusive and person-centred practice with people from diverse backgrounds, including First Nations, LGBTIQ+ and multicultural communities
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel for outreach and community engagement
