The Toowoomba Integrated Mental Health Hub is an innovative new model of integrated stepped care, transforming the way mental health and wellbeing support is delivered across Queensland. Wellways, together with our consortia partners Each, Lumsden Psychology, QPASTT and Goondir will provide seamless, free and voluntary services built on the principles of no wrong door, community inclusion and consumer choice and control.
We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead the establishment and ongoing operations of the Hub. This is a pivotal role overseeing service implementation, growth, governance and performance, working alongside the Clinical Lead to ensure clinical governance and excellence in holistic care.
About the role
As the Operations Manager, you will:
- Lead the successful establishment of the Toowoomba Integrated Mental Health Hub, including consumer transition and operational systems.
- Oversee operations, administration, program performance, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Drive strong partnerships across Governance Groups, DDWM PHN, consortia members, Wellways teams and community stakeholders.
- Champion co-design, innovation and recovery-oriented practice to deliver high-quality, inclusive services.
- Build a high-performing, values-driven culture that embeds lived experience at every level.
- This is a unique opportunity to shape and influence the future of mental health and wellbeing services in Queensland, delivering lasting outcomes for consumers, families, carers and the broader community.
- Monitor and report on performance, outcomes and impact to executive leadership and the Board
About you
You are a strategic and values-driven leader with proven experience in senior operational or program management roles, ideally in the health, mental health or community services sector.
You bring:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support multidisciplinary teams.
- A track record in service development, innovation and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in governance, reporting, compliance and sustainable program growth.
- A passion for recovery-oriented practice, consumer voice and inclusion.

Pre employment requirements
- Bachelor / Masters in Psychology, Allied Health, Nursing or other relevant qualification
- 5+ years mental health management experience
- Experience realising organisational vision, operationalising strategic goals and measuring impact
- Experience leading diverse teams
- Driver's License
- Police clearance - less than 12 months old
- Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate - free online course
