Rhapsody Resort is seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to lead its expanding and innovative team. This pivotal leadership role oversees all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, presentation, and financial performance are consistently achieved. Reporting directly to the Group Operations Manager, you will play an integral role in the RoamFree Hotels group driving guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and strategic growth across the business.

About the Role

As Hotel General Manager, you will lead all aspects of Rhapsody Resort’s operations including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and owner relations while ensuring seamless collaboration across departments and exceptional guest experiences. This role combines hands-on leadership with high-level strategic management, reporting directly to the Group Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day hotel operations ensuring quality, efficiency, and service excellence.

Achieve and exceed all departmental KPI and financial performance targets.

Full P&L responsibility including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Work with Revenue Manager to drive revenue growth through yield management, rate strategy, and occupancy optimisation.

Manage and enhance the holiday letting pool to maximise returns.

Oversee capital projects, refurbishments, and long-term asset management.

Maintain compliance with all WHS, fire, and legislative requirements.

Prepare Body Corporate reports and maintain professional stakeholder relationships.

Deliver monthly financial dashboards and property performance reports to Directors.

Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing management team across all departments.

Champion a positive culture, strong communication, and staff engagement.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and caretaker obligations.

Contribute to the strategic planning and growth initiatives of Roamfree Hotels.

About You

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Hotel or Resort General Management.

Proven success in financial management, P&L accountability, and operational leadership.

A strong ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.

Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Expertise in Body Corporate management and stakeholder liaison (desirable).

Sound knowledge of compliance, WHS, and regulatory frameworks.

Strategic thinker with excellent communication and organisational skills.
